Employee handbook

Your plain-English guide to working at Nexus Group. It points you to the detailed policies when you need them.

Welcome to Nexus Group

Welcome to the team! Whether you’re in a store, an office, a care centre or out in the community, you’re now part of a company that connects people with the products, technology and support they need. This handbook gives you the essentials — and shows you where to find more.

Our work is guided by five values: customer first, better together, do the right thing, keep improving, and safe and well.

Your first week

How we work

We aim to be helpful, honest and reliable — for our customers and for each other. Communicate clearly, keep your commitments, and ask when you’re unsure. Many roles offer flexible working options; talk to your manager about what’s possible in your team.

Conduct & respect

Everyone deserves a safe, respectful workplace. We don’t tolerate bullying, harassment or discrimination — see the Bullying & Harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity policies. If something’s not right, you can raise it through the Grievance Resolution process.

Pay, leave & benefits

You’re paid fortnightly, with superannuation paid on top. You can apply for leave any time through the leave form. See Pay & leave for a simple summary of your entitlements, and the Leave Policy for the detail.

Health, safety & wellbeing

Your safety matters. Work safely, use equipment correctly, and report any hazard, near miss or incident. Our WHS Policy explains everyone’s responsibilities. Free, confidential counselling is available through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) — ask People & Culture.
