Connecting to the VPN for remote work

Securely access Nexus systems when you're working from home.

4 min read · Updated 14 June 20XX · For Staff who work remotely

The VPN (Virtual Private Network) creates a secure, encrypted connection between your device and the Nexus network, so you can work safely from home.

Before you start

  • Make sure you’re connected to the internet.
  • Have your login and MFA device ready.

Connect

  1. Open the Nexus VPN app on your laptop (it’s pre-installed on Nexus devices).
  2. Click Connect.
  3. Sign in with your Nexus username and passphrase.
  4. Approve the MFA prompt on your phone.
  5. When the status shows Connected, you can reach Nexus systems and shared drives.

When you’re finished

Click Disconnect at the end of your session, or when you don’t need Nexus systems, to free up capacity for others.
