Presentation Standards

How to prepare clear, professional, on-brand presentations at Nexus Group.

Purpose

A good presentation is clear, looks professional and respects the audience’s time. These standards help your slides represent Nexus Group well.

Use the branded template

Start from the approved presentation outline. It keeps the right colours, fonts and logo placement, so you can focus on the content. Follow the brand basics.

Structure

  • Title slide — topic, your name and the date.
  • Why it matters — the point, up front.
  • A few key messages — one idea per slide.
  • Summary and next steps — what you’re asking for.
  • Questions / contact.

Slide design

  • One idea per slide; few words — speak to the detail, don’t read it out.
  • Large, readable text; plenty of contrast.
  • Use a simple chart or image where it helps; label it.
  • Be consistent with spacing and alignment.

Accessibility

  • Use high-contrast colours and a readable font size.
  • Add a short description for important images.
  • Don’t rely on colour alone to make a point.

Before you present

  • Proofread every slide (spelling, names, numbers).
  • Check it opens and displays correctly on the meeting-room screen.
  • Have a backup (e.g. a PDF copy) in case of technical issues.

Tone

Keep it professional and plain. Write the way you’d explain it to a colleague — see the Written Style Guide.
